Licenses

It’s Been a While includes open-source software. The list below is what the current download contains: the WhatsApp connector (wa-helper) and the Go standard library it is built with. Each entry links to the source and names its license.

Source code

The WhatsApp component (wa-helper) is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3 (GPL-3.0), because it includes go.mau.fi/libsignal. Its complete source code, with a license file and build instructions, is available for every version: wa-helper source code (a .tar.gz archive for the current version, builds offline with Go). The app itself is a separate program that only talks to this component, and its source is not part of this offer.

Full license texts

The complete license texts are in the app: open Settings, choose the About tab and click Acknowledgements. The same file is inside the app bundle as Contents/Resources/ThirdPartyNotices.txt.
